Assertiveness

Being assertive is such a key ingredient in how we manage ourselves and others. It's all about being self-assured and confident without being aggressive.

The problem is this; the majority of people do not possess this vital skill and as it's a skill - it needs to be learnt. The chances are that if you haven't learnt it, you may well fall back on your innate behaviour of either being aggressive or passive.

Both of these traits are highly destructive. Aggression is destructive to others and passivity is self-destructive. Take a minute to think about people you know who are either aggressive or passive. What are the manifestations of their behaviour? How well do they manage themselves or others?

Assertiveness will give you the tools and techniques to ensure you:

  • Gain respect by being confident and self-assured without being aggressive
  • Manage your time more effectively by not saying 'yes' to everything
  • Reduce your stress by increasing your self-awareness and exercising techniques that put you in control

If you would like to understand how to become more assertive, then this workshop is for you.
